The MOB Engineering Oil Cooler Kit is developed specifically for the BMW N5X engine family, helping maintain more controlled engine oil temperatures during performance driving, tuned applications, and track use.
The engine-mounted adapter plate is CNC-machined from 6082 aluminum, providing a strong, durable, and precise solution designed to withstand the heat and vibration of the engine bay.
The system features a 13-row oil cooler, increasing the engine’s oil cooling capacity and helping maintain more stable oil temperatures under sustained load. This is especially beneficial during spirited driving and track sessions where oil temperatures can rise significantly.
A MAHLE thermostat regulates oil flow through the cooler. Oil is directed through the cooling circuit only when required, preventing unnecessary overcooling during cold starts and allowing the engine to reach its ideal operating temperature normally.
